Refund & Cancellations

At Karatkai LLC, each jewelry piece — whether handcrafted, custom-made, in-store stock or pre-owned — is carefully inspected to meet our highest quality standards before leaving our office in Honolulu, Hawaii and LA, California.

Due to the intrinsic nature and value of gold and fine jewelry, as well as hygiene and authenticity considerations, all sales are final and non-refundable.

We encourage customers to review all product details and confirm sizing, condition, and customization requests before completing their purchase.

 

1. Refund Policy

 

Please note that Karatkai LLC does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for any jewelry items, including:

  • Handcrafted or custom-made jewelry

  • New in-store stock items

  • Pre-owned, vintage, or used chain products

 

This “All Sales Final” policy exists because:

  • Gold and fine jewelry can be easily altered, worn, or damaged once handled.

  • Every item — new or pre-owned — is photographed, authenticated, and documented prior to sale or shipment.

  • For hygiene, authenticity, and resale integrity, any item that has been worn, handled, or altered cannot be restocked.

  • Custom and made-to-order pieces are created specifically per customer request and cannot be canceled or refunded.

Please understand that damage caused by customer handling (e.g., scratches, drops, resizing attempts, cleaning errors, or improper storage) is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not eligible for refund, replacement, or cancellation.

 

2. Order Cancellation

 

Cancellations are only accepted before shipment begins or before in-store pickup.

Once an order has entered the shipping process or has been picked up, it can no longer be canceled.

If you wish to cancel, please contact Karatkai Customer Service immediately.

Cancellation requests must receive written confirmation from our customer service team to be valid.


3. Damaged or Incorrect Items

All jewelry — new, pre-owned, or custom — is thoroughly inspected and photographed before shipment to ensure authenticity and condition.


If you receive an incorrect or damaged item:

  • Please contact us within 1 day of delivery or pickup.

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original packaging and condition.

  • Include clear photos of the item and packaging when contacting us.

 

Once verified, we will review the issue and, if it qualifies as a manufacturing or shipping defect, we will offer an appropriate repair or replacement.

Karatkai LLC reserves the right to determine whether an issue constitutes a manufacturing defect or customer-caused damage.

 

4. After-Sales Service (Repair & Maintenance)

 

We proudly offer after-sales repair and maintenance services for all Karatkai jewelry, including gold, pre-owned, and custom pieces.

Please note:

  • All after-sales services are subject to additional fees.

  • Service fees vary depending on the type of repair (e.g., polishing, clasp repair, resizing, stone tightening, chain re-linking, etc.).

  • Customers will be informed of all costs before any work begins, and written approval will be required to proceed.

  • Verified manufacturing defects reported within the specified timeframe will be handled separately at no extra charge.

  • Paid repair services are considered maintenance work and do not imply any refund, exchange, or cancellation.

 

5. Legal Notice (Hawaii Consumer Protection Compliance)

This policy complies with the Hawaii Revised Statutes §481A (Unfair and Deceptive Practices) and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (federal warranty law).

Under Hawaii law:

  • Businesses may establish an “All Sales Final / No Refund” policy when clearly disclosed prior to purchase.

  • Consumers retain rights for defective or misrepresented goods, which Karatkai LLC honors through our inspection and defect-resolution process.

  • All after-sales repairs are optional, fee-based, and provided with transparent pricing and prior customer consent.

 

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to Karatkai LLC’s Refund, Cancellation & After-Sales Policy.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, and any dispute shall be resolved accordingly.
